WingFoil Racing World Cup Brazil 2025
Maddalena Spanu and Kamil Manowiecki win in Jericoacoara; Jette Koep finishes in 4th place
The final of the IWSA Wingfoil Racing World Cup took place from December 2 to 6 in Brazil at the Jeri Wingfoil Cup in Jericoacoara.
Although the men’s and women’s world titles had already been decided earlier in the season, both champions competed in the final stop of the tour to vie for the event victory.
In the women’s competition, 2025 world champion Maddalena Spanu left no room for doubt; the Italian advanced to the final round in first place and went on to win the final ahead of 16-year-old Frenchwoman Vaina Picot and Greek athlete Aimilia Kosti.
Fourth place went to German wingfoiler Jette Koep. The second German competitor, Tania Tammling, finished her trip to Brazil in 12th place.
In the men’s division, 2025 world champion Mathis Ghio had a much tougher time, as Polish rider Kamil Manowiecki dominated the races in Jericoacoara - not only in the preliminary round but also in the final - just as he did last year.
Bastien Escofet finished second in the decisive race, while Mathis Ghio secured third place on the podium in a photo finish ahead of Francesco Cappuzzo. Yannik Holste, the only German competitor in the men’s division, returns home from Brazil with an 11th-place finish.
