Wingfoil Racing World Cup Hong Kong 2026

Alessandro Tomasi and Yana Li win in China

The first IWSA event of 2026 took place in China. Forty-one men and 12 women competed in the Wingfoil Racing World Cup at Stanley Main Beach on the southeast coast of Hong Kong to earn ranking points toward the overall standings of the pure racing series. A total of EUR 10,000 in prize money was also up for grabs for the top riders.

Conditions were challenging - shifty winds and choppy water made things difficult for the wing foilers. Races were held over three days, as always consisting of a combination of qualifying rounds and a final medal series (finals).

On Sunday, Alessandro Tomasi (ITA) won ahead of Thomas Proust (FRA) and Mathis Ghio (FRA). In the women’s competition, Yana Li (CHN) took first place ahead of Vaina Picot (FRA) and Yinuo Dong (CHN).
