Learn parawinging
Parawing courses for beginners, intermediates, and those switching sports in Italy & Austria
Interest in parawinging is growing, because the packable wing allows you to experience a different kind of freedom when riding waves than you would with a standard wing.
Markus Hetzmannseder from Foilwindsurfcenter.at says: “Wingfoil is nice, but parawing is ON” and, fittingly, offers tailored training programs to help beginners get started, assist those switching from wing foiling, or help riders refine their parawing techniques.
For complete beginners, there is a “Start Zero” course on the lakes in the Salzkammergut region of Austria. The course lasts three days and includes all the necessary equipment.
For those transitioning from wing foiling, he offers a one-month coaching program that can be tailored to your schedule and conducted either on Lake Garda or in the Salzkammergut region using your own equipment. The program includes video calls, two guided sessions, and video analysis as well as assessments of your progress and technique.
To help improve parawinging skills, Markus offers private lessons for foilers who already know how to parawing. These lessons can be booked individually for 1-3 hours on Lake Garda or in the Salzkammergut region.
A 5-day camp (October 1-5, 2026) will also take place this fall on Lake Garda, giving participants the opportunity to make progress together over several consecutive days through sessions or downwind runs.
