Wing Foil Water Shots from Lake Wittensee
Another session at Lake Wittensee, located in Schleswig-Holstein in northern Germany, this time filmed from the water with an action cam. September 27 was the second day in a row when 3-square-meter wings worked really well.
Unlike the nearby Baltic Sea, you can look forward to foiling on the inland lakes without seaweed getting in the way. On a large body of water like Liake Wittensee, the wind often pushes a small wind-driven wave ahead of it, which you can sometimes ride with a flagged wing.
There was no sun that Friday afternoon and the wind was a bit gusty, but that didn’t dampen the mood. Depending on their skill level, the riders practiced jibes, tricks, and jumps. Here are a few photos from that session.
